Streetscape improvements on the north side of Cornwall Street, between Church Street and Slack Lane, will start on April 17, and continue through the end of the week, weather permitting.
Construction crews will be working on sidewalks and concrete aprons on the Semones Parking Lot side of Cornwall Street. One lane of traffic will remain open while this work occurs. Impacted residents will be contacted directly by the construction team.
Drivers should use extra caution when traveling through this area and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.
This construction is part of the Loudoun County Courthouse Complex expansion project that includes the design and construction of the new 92,000-square-foot Loudoun County District Courthouse and renovation of existing courts facilities, including new parking facilities.
Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse will continue to have access to free parking throughout the duration of the project at the Pennington Lot and Pennington Garage which are located approximately two blocks from the courthouse near the intersection of Church and North Streets, NE.
