The Loudoun County Planning Commission’s Uses Subcommittee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to continue its work on the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite project. The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison St., SE, in Leesburg.
The Uses Subcommittee was formed to focus on uses in zoning districts, which are addressed in three chapters of the draft Zoning Ordinance:
- Chapter 3: Uses
- Chapter 4: Use-Specific Standards
- Chapter 12: Definitions
The subcommittee’s April 25 agenda is scheduled to include discussions about the following uses to assist the subcommittee and the full Planning Commission in its deliberations of the proposed Zoning Ordinance revisions:
- Energy Storage (Fire Marshal recommendation)
- Solar Facility decommissioning
- Limited Brewery, Limited Distillery, Virginia Farm Winery
- Botanical Garden
- Stables/Equine Event Facilities
- Indoor Recreation in Rural Policy Area
- Automobile Storage in Suburban Policy Area
- Amphitheater in Rural Policy Area
