Loudoun County Update
  • Loudoun County provides advice to residents concerning interactions with animals during COVID-19. While there is no evidence that pets or livestock can transmit the virus to people, researchers are investigating whether animals can contract the virus from humans. To stay safe, practice basic hygiene and distancing measures. Read the news release for more tips and guidance.  
  • Loudoun County Fire and Rescue shares some important spring cleaning safety tips. As warmer weather approaches and many of us are social distancing at home, it's a perfect opportunity to tackle spring cleaning and projects around the house. Keep safety top of mind.   • Loudoun County election officials are aware of Governor Northam's proposal to move the May 5, 2020, elections to the fall. The General Assembly is scheduled to convene April 22 and will take up the recommendation then. Until the General Assembly takes action, the Office of Elections and Voter Registration will continue to process and mail absentee ballots requested by Loudoun voters. Currently, the towns of Hamilton, Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville, and Round Hill will hold elections for the offices of mayor and members of the town council.
