Loudoun County Update
  • The CDC has issued guidance for cleaning and disinfecting public spaces, workplaces, businesses, schools and homes. Reopening America requires all of us to move forward together by practicing social distancing and other daily habits to reduce our risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. Reopening the country also strongly relies on public health strategies, including increased testing of people for the virus, social distancing, isolation, and keeping track of how someone infected might have infected other people. This guidance is part of the larger United States Government plan. Visit the CDC website to learn more.
  • Governor Northam announced that hospitals and dentists will be allowed to resume non-emergency procedures as of midnight Thursday, April 30. In March, elective medical procedures were banned under Public Health Order Number 2, signed by Governor Northam and State Health Commissioner M. Norman Oliver. This was done to preserve personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to allow hospitals to focus resources on COVID patients. Governor Northam said non-emergency procedures can resume because social distancing and other measures have slowed the spread of the COVID virus. Learn more on the Virginia Governor's website at governor.virginia.gov.
  • Reminder: The Town of Hillsboro will implement a full road closure on Route 9 within the Town beginning 5:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020. Regional motorists will be directed to follow the Regional detour of Route 340 and Route 7. Hillsboro area motorists will be directed to follow the Hillsboro Local detour using Hillsboro Road, Allder School Road, Woodgrove Road, Stony Point Road.
