[ARCHIVED] Contractor Bidding is Underway for Lovettsville Community Center Construction

The original item was published from August 5, 2020 2:22 PM to August 5, 2020 2:48 PM

An invitation for bid for a general contractor to complete the construction of the new Lovettsville community center was issued on August 4, 2020. View the bid on the Loudoun County Department of Procurement’s bid posting page for details.

Phase one of the original construction schedule was completed in June 2020, including the sediment basin, riser structure, pond access road, fencing, and the temporary access road connecting East Broad Way to the gravel parking lot. The remaining four phases are delayed until a general contractor can be procured.

Construction is estimated to resume in late 2020.

The Lovettsville Community Center project will design and construct a new community center building in the Town of Lovettsville, replacing the existing building. The new community center will be over 15,000 square feet and will have a full-size gymnasium, five classrooms, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, administrative offices, meeting space and storage areas. The project also includes a 600-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing 1,200-square-foot Pool House.
