Beginning in January 2020, design plans for the Braddock Road - Summerall Drive and Supreme Drive Intersection were approved with comments by the Loudoun County Building and Development department. In late June 2020, the design consultant updated the plats based on the Building and Development department’s comments. On July 24, 2020, the plan revision was submitted to the Loudoun County Department of Building and Development and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to address regulatory comments. In the next quarter, plat approval is anticipated and right of way acquisition will begin.
This project provides for the installation of a traffic signal and turn lanes at the intersection of Braddock Road (Route 620) and Supreme Drive (Route 1257) and Summerall Drive (Route 1258). In addition, the two lane section of Braddock Road near the intersection will be widened to four lanes.
