Saturday and Sunday Construction Work to Begin at Loudoun County Courthouse

Posted on September 18, 2020 at 3:05 PM by Shawn Zelman

Beginning on Saturday, September 19, 2020, residents who drive or walk through the Town of Leesburg near the construction site of the new Loudoun County courthouse will notice crews drilling foundation elements on both Saturday and Sunday for the next several weeks. The construction crews will be working between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. Those in the vicinity of the new courthouse should expect an increase in construction noise.

The Courts Complex Expansion project includes the design and construction of a new 92,000-square-foot courthouse and renovation of existing courts facilities. The project has also created new parking facilities, such as the Pennington Garage, which has more than 700 parking spaces.

Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse will continue to have access to the existing building. Free parking is available in the Pennington Lot and Pennington Garage, which is located off of Church Street, NE, approximately two blocks from the courthouse.
