Loudoun County COVID-19 Data Snapshot
Loudoun County Update
  • Next COVID-19 testing event is January 27: Loudoun County has scheduled another free drive-thru COVID-19 testing event for Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Claude Moore Park, 46150 Loudoun Park Lane in Sterling. The event is open to all. There are no age or residency requirements. No prescriptions or appointments are necessary. A person does not have to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be tested. A PCR test (nasal swab) will be administered, which tests for the novel coronavirus. No antibody or rapid tests will be offered.
  • Stay safe outside and inside: If you want to spend time with people who don’t live with you, outdoors is the safer choice. COVID-19 spreads more easily indoors than outdoors. Studies show that people are more likely to be exposed to COVID-19 when they are closer than 6 feet apart from others for longer periods of time. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offer guidance on choosing the safest indoor and outdoor activities.
  • COVID-19 vaccination registration continues in Loudoun: Loudoun County health officials continue to ask for patience from those seeking the COVID-19 vaccine. The county is waiting for more vaccine to arrive in order to schedule more vaccination appointments. If you are in either the Phase 1a (PDF) or Phase 1b (PDF) priority group and have not submitted your information to the Health Department, please complete the online pre-screening survey, which is the most efficient method for obtaining an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination. If you have submitted the survey, there is no need to contact the Health Department.
  • Virtual Opioid Reversal Training January 25: Space is available in Loudoun County's next opioid overdose reversal training scheduled for January 25 at 5:30 p.m. The REVIVE! training is free and lasts about one hour. Participants who complete the virtual training are eligible to receive free naloxone nasal spray.  Pre-registration is required. Find details and a link to register at loudoun.gov/revive.
