Loudoun County Update
Loudoun to host weekly COVID-19 testing events
. Loudoun County will hold twice-weekly, free drive-thru COVID-19 testing events at multiple locations beginning in February.
They will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
These are not mass testing events so they will serve a smaller number of people.
They are intended to provide regular, predictable testing opportunities for the community. Find details, including the testing schedule and links to registration forms, in

Vaccine supply and distribution in Loudoun
. Loudoun County’s vaccine supply comes from the Virginia Department of Health, which allocates doses to local health districts, such as Loudoun, based on each district’s population. Virginia, like all states, gets vaccine doses from the federal government.

At a briefing today, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam highlighted some upcoming improvements to the state's COVID-19 vaccination efforts.
Virginia will be receiving a 16% increase in vaccine from the federal government and that amount will be "locked in" for four weeks.

Virginia will soon create a statewide system with one phone number and website where individuals seeking a vaccination appointment can be directed to the appropriate place.

: Governor Northam has also extended through February the temporary restrictions intended to stem the spread of COVID-19 as detailed in

, including a universal mask requirement, a limit on social gatherings to 10 people and limits on dining establishments.
