Weekly COVID-19 Vaccination Waitlist Update
Loudoun County continues to vaccinate individuals from the pre-registration waitlist as quickly as possible as vaccine supply allows. Every Friday, the county provides an update on the current waitlist.
Date Now Serving
: Loudoun County has started offering appointments to individuals who are in Phase 2 and submitted pre-registration forms online or by phone on
On April 12, Loudoun County
entered Phase 2
. With the increase in the number of people eligible for the vaccine, the date now serving has restarted to offer appointments for Phase 2 pre-registrations submitted since February 16.
If you are in Phase 2 and pre-registered before February 23 but have not heard from us, please ensure the email address used in your pre-registration form has not been used to pre-register anyone else for a vaccine. Our appointment scheduling system
requires a unique email addres
for each individual who will receive a vaccine. To update the email address, go to
and select “Verify and Update your Record.”
Currently, for people in the Phase 1a, 1b and 1c priority groups, the time between pre-registration and receiving an invitation to make a vaccination appointment has been shortened to a few days.
: There are currently
people in Phase 2 on the waitlist, a decrease of
last Friday’s report.
The waitlist continues to grow daily as more individuals pre-register. Anyone in Virginia can now pre-register at
to view the vaccine data dashboard.
Loudoun County Update
Statewide Phase 2
: Beginning Sunday, April 18, the rest of Virginia will enter Phase 2 of the state’s vaccination plan, which makes anyone age 16 years of age or older who lives or works in Virginia eligible to make an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Loudoun County entered Phase 2 on April 12 and the county will continue to require pre-registration for anyone who wishes to receive a vaccination appointment through the Loudoun County Health Department.
Individuals age 16 and older who live or work in Loudoun may
complete a pre-registration form online
or by calling 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682).
, you can also access the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s
, which allows you to search the map-based site for appointments at Community Vaccination Centers, pharmacies, and hospitals in the region, and make your appointment yourself online. You may need to search for appointments from several providers before you find one. Providers add more appointments regularly, so users are encouraged to check back daily.
Planning a Trip to the Vaccination Site
: If you have scheduled a vaccination appointment for the Loudoun County vaccination site at Dulles Town Center, here are some of the things you should know before you go:
Face coverings are required. Social distancing is maintained throughout the vaccination site including waiting in line.
You should wear clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm.
You will not be able to choose the brand of vaccine you will receive at the vaccination site. Currently, the Loudoun County Health Department is offering Moderna or Pfizer vaccine as supplies allow. Even on days on which both brands of vaccine are available, we are not able to offer a choice unless one of the products is required to be used, such as using Pfizer vaccine for people who are 16 and 17 years old.
We are currently vaccinating a large volume of people each day so, at times, the lines may grow long outdoors at the vaccination site. Please be prepared for weather considerations; however, the lines should move quickly. Wheelchairs are available upon request.
People 16 or 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to their appointment or they will be turned away.
If you scheduled your appointment online, please complete the online pre-vaccination survey from the CDC. You should receive this by email approximately 12 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not receive it or if you scheduled your appointment over the phone, you will be able to complete the survey upon arrival.
No photography or videos are allowed to protect your privacy.
More information, including directions to the by appointment-only site, may be found at

: Loudoun County will host another of our weekly, drive-thru COVID-19 testing events Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at the
Dulles South Recreation & Community Center in South Riding
. The county is holding free testing events on Tuesdays in April. More information, including the complete schedule and required pre-registration forms, is online at
