This month, work to install below-ground stormwater and utility lines has begun for the new Lovettsville Community Center. The center is currently under construction in the Town of Lovettsville at the site of the old community center building. New utility lines will facilitate the installation of modern plumbing, electrical, and communications systems designed for the facility. Over the next few weeks, crews will also continue installing the building’s foundations and support structures, including concrete footings, slabs, and foundation walls.
Construction is currently estimated for completion in summer 2022, weather permitting.
The new community center will be over 15,000 square feet and will have a full-size gymnasium, five classrooms, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, administrative offices, meeting space and storage areas. The project also includes a 600-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing 1,200-square-foot Pool House.
