Loudoun County has issued a notice of termination for the construction contract for the Lovettsville Community Center project effective January 17, 2020. Work on the Lovettsville Community Center will be delayed while the county seeks a new contractor, which is expected to take six to seven months, to complete the remaining construction.
In the coming weeks, the area surrounding the construction site will be emptied of equipment and the County will complete work to secure the site for the duration of the delay. Construction for the project could be delayed up to 12 months.
Construction of the community center is expected to resume by the end of 2020.
