[ARCHIVED] Loudoun to Hold Public Information Meeting on Philomont Fire and Rescue Station September 9

Loudoun County is hosting a public information meeting to gain input from the community on the Philomont Fire and Rescue Station Thursday, September 9, 2021, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., at Woodgrove High School, 36811 Allder School Road, Purcellville. Members of the public are invited to join this in-person meeting to learn, ask questions and provide input about the project. 

Meeting materials, including a speaker sign-up and comment form, are available at loudoun.gov/philomontstation. Members of the public must sign up in advance to ask questions during the event by 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021. 

County staff will discuss the feasibility study that evaluated utilizing the current site of the existing fire and rescue station for a new or updated 18,500-square-foot fire and rescue facility. The feasibility study evaluated numerous aspects of the facility to include apparatus bays, bunkroom facilities, a training/break room, restrooms, showers, food preparation and dining areas, laundry and decontamination areas, supply storage and a gear and hose drying area. It also included a breathing apparatus air compressor room, a fitness room, offices and a repair shop.
