Zoning Ordinance Action Group Serving as 'Sounding Board' for Rewrite Process

Posted on March 5, 2020 at 11:13 AM by MaryFrances Forcier

As part of its charge to identify, review, recommend and prepare amendments to the Revised 1993 Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Ordinance Action Group (ZOAG) is serving as a resource for the Department of Planning and Zoning as it advances the rewrite of the current Zoning Ordinance.

“The ZOAG is serving as a ‘sounding board’ for us, providing assistance in the area of quality assurance, updating us on market trends and conditions, and making sure the ordinance will be clear, understandable, and user friendly,” said James David, deputy director of planning and zoning.

Upcoming ZOAG meetings that will focus on the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite include:
  • Wednesday, March 18: Lot & Building Standards, Subdivision Design
  • Wednesday, April 15: Uses, Performance Standards
  • Wednesday, May 20: Parking, Signs, Landscaping, Screening, & Buffering
  • Wednesday, June 17: Process
