Lovettsville Community Center Exterior Walls Taking Shape

Posted on December 22, 2021 at 11:35 AM by Shawn Zelman

The exterior walls of the new Lovettsville Community Center are visibly taking shape. The building is currently under construction in the Town of Lovettsville at the site of the old community center facility. Construction crews have recently completed approximately 60% of the brick installation and completed work on the masonry walls.

Over the next several weeks, work will include the completion of exterior brick installation and placement of structural steel over the gymnasium. Crews will also begin the installation of a deck and roofing on the building. Construction is currently estimated for completion in summer 2022, weather permitting.

The new community center will be over 15,000 square feet and will have a full-size gymnasium, five classrooms, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, administrative offices, meeting space and storage areas. The project also includes a 600-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing 1,200-square-foot Pool House.
