Loudoun County, VA – Six Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office correctional recruits graduated Thursday, April 12, 2012, from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy.
The members of the graduating class for Jail Officer Basic #160 are Scott A. Atchison, Stanley H. Kyek II, Gustavo T. Telleria, Efram R. Torres, Dustin E. Woomer and William H. Harris.
Deputy Torres received the top overall achievement award (academic, skills, and firearms) and Deputy Harris received the top physical fitness award.
“The achievements of these deputies are a testament to their skills as well as their desire to serve Loudoun County” said Sheriff Michael L. Chapman. “Their hard work should be commended and we look forward to having them be a part of the professional team at the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office,” Chapman added.
The new correctional deputies will begin a four-week in-house training program at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC). The state-of-the-art facility opened in the summer of 2007 and houses maximum, medium and minimum security level inmates.
The Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy is a Virginia regional training academy which trains basic and veteran law enforcement officers, correctional officers and communications officers for more than sixty agencies.
