Plowman Re-Elected to Board of Directors of
Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Association
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – August 4, 2013. Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys (VACA) at their 74th Annual Meeting. Plowman has served on the Board as a representative of Virginia’s 10th Congressional District since August 2005 when he was first elected by his peers.
“I’m honored to continue in this position and represent the interests of Virginia prosecutors in our region,” stated Plowman. “It’s critical that Loudoun County maintain a strong voice within our organization given the size of our jurisdiction.” “VACA takes a very active role in ensuring that the interests of the public and of victims are appropriately voiced to legislators in Richmond and I look forward to continuing to work in that area to help improve the criminal laws and staying abreast of emerging crimes,” Plowman continued.
VACA is a professional association of Commonwealth’s Attorney’s throughout Virginia that seeks to promote, among other things, uniformity in the administration of justice across the state, and cooperation with the General Assembly in the enactment of legislation for the advancement of the general welfare and safety of its citizenry.
