FIREARM CHARGES SEND PREVIOUSLY
CONVICTED FELON BACK TO PRISON
JUDGE IMPOSES 4 YEARS
LEESBURG, Virginia – April 14, 2014. Robbie Franklin Huff, 31, appeared before the Circuit Court of Loudoun County, in custody, for sentencing on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Judge Benjamin N. A. Kendrick committed Huff to the Virginia Department of Corrections for four years.
On May 24, 2013, deputies with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Middleburg for a domestic dispute. A caller to 911 reported that Huff was firing a gun from the window of his residence while a female subject was attempting to retrieve her vehicle from his property.
Deputies subsequently executed a search warrant on the residence and located a 25 caliber pistol, a 20-gauge shot gun, and several boxes of ammunition and shotgun shells in Huff’s room. The firearms were confiscated and sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science where it was determined that both guns functioned properly.
Huff’s criminal history dates back to 2006 and includes three felony convictions and fifteen misdemeanor convictions
