STERLING WOMAN SENTENCED FOR TWO COUNTS OF CHILD NEGLECT

JUDGE IMPOSES TWO YEAR PRISON TERM

LEESBURG, Virginia – March 13, 2015. Nataliya Davis, 44, appeared before the Circuit Court of Loudoun County, in custody, for sentencing on two counts of child neglect. Judge Thomas D. Horne committed Davis to the Virginia Department of Corrections for one year on each count to be served concurrently.

In early February 2014, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to Davis’ home in Sterling on three separate occasions. The first two visits were in response to complaints of loud noise, disorderly conduct, and assaultive behavior. The third visit occurred on February 13, 2014, when a sheriff’s deputy responded to the Sterling address to conduct a welfare check on two children living in the home. One of the children was located sitting on the lap of an adult male who was not a relative, the house was 51 degrees, and there were roaches and bugs in numerous rooms throughout the house. Law enforcement subsequently contacted Child Protective Services (CPS).

On February 28, 2014, a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Detective and a CPS worker conducted a welfare check at the Sterling home and found it in largely the same condition as previously observed on February 13, 2014.

Additional visits were made to the home in May and June 2014. During the June visit a tenant in Davis’ home advised law enforcement that he had observed several men coming in and out of the home to meet with Davis for brief periods of time. He further advised that the children were often left unattended during these times.

In late May through early July 2014, the Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation in reference to possible prostitution activity at Davis’ residence. Investigation revealed that Davis was posting advertisements soliciting money for sex on the internet. Davis’ advertisements featured various photographs of herself and her home address in Sterling. Surveillance revealed Davis in various stages of undress escorting men in and out of her home.

Law enforcement subsequently executed a search warrant on Davis’ home. Numerous cell phones and computers were seized from the home pursuant to the search warrant. Forensic computer examination revealed photographs and videos of Davis nude or partially nude. Several of the photographs were matched to those Davis used in her online advertisements. Additionally, Davis’ two juvenile children, ages 8 and 9, could be seen in the background of several photographs.

Davis was arrested and incarcerated pending trial. During her incarceration Davis made numerous phone calls to a third party in which she confirmed that she had directed her two children to take nude photographs of her for online advertisements for prostitution.

Judge Horne imposed an additional eight years of suspended time, five years of supervised probation, and ordered that Davis only have contact with her children as permitted by the Department of Family Services.

Davis, a native of Ukraine, is also being held pursuant to a Federal Immigration Detainer, which directs her removal from the United States upon her release.
