Brumback Enters Pleas of Guilt in Connection to Attempted First Degree Murder
LEESBURG, Virginia – July 27, 2015. Dallas Walton Brumback Jr., 36, appeared before the Circuit Court of Loudoun County, in custody, and entered guilty pleas to one count of attempted first degree murder, four counts of child abuse and neglect, and two counts of distribution of a controlled substance as an accommodation.
In the fall of 2014, Brumback made contact with an undercover officer to make arrangements to have his ex-wife killed. The undercover officer advised that he knew a “guy” who would carry out the task for $5,000. Brumback agreed to the price and provided $900 towards the cost. The undercover officer and Brumback agreed to additional meetings during which Brumback would provide the balance of the money. Brumback also advised the undercover officer that he would provide a recent photograph of his ex-wife, directions to her residence, and a description of her car.
Brumback is currently being held without bond in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he awaits his final sentencing hearing on November 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in Loudoun Circuit Court. Brumback faces up to 50 years in prison.
