[ARCHIVED] Dog Abandoned at Hotel in Leesburg

On August 10, 2015, Loudoun County Animal Services received a complaint that a dog had been abandoned at the Best Western Hotel located at 721 E. Market Street, in Leesburg. The dog is a female, blue/white, Pit Bull type, and is approximately two years old. She was found wearing a faded red nylon collar. According to eyewitnesses, the dog was found Friday, August 7, 2015, tethered to a tree by a black nylon rope leash behind the hotel dumpsters, where she remained for several days before being reported to Animal Services.

The dog is being cared for at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or the possible owner of this animal is asked to contact Animal Services at 703-777-0406.
