Help “Clear the Shelter” by adopting a pet at Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) Saturday, July 23, 2016, between 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. On this day only, all adoptions will be free as LCAS participates in a nationwide pet adoption event that highlights the animals currently waiting for new homes.

For adoption requirements and to view shelter pets, visit www.loudoun.gov/animals . More information on the Clear the Shelters adoption campaign is online here.

The Loudoun County Animal Shelter is located at 39820 Charles Town Pike, five miles west of Leesburg at the intersection of Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) and Route 704 (Hamilton Station Road) outside of Waterford.

LCAS operates an animal shelter which provides for companion animals who have been relinquished by their owners or found stray in the county. The shelter also offers pets for adoption. Officers enforce local and state animal laws and investigate reports of animal cruelty. LCAS also maintains a lost and found animal file, issues dog licenses and assists citizens with a variety of animal issues. For more information, contact LCAS at 703-777-0406 or email animals@loudoun.gov. Visit LCAS online at www.loudoun.gov/animals or www.facebook.com/loudounanimals.
