 Loudoun County, VA –
A Fauquier man who discharged a weapon during a domestic altercation in the One Loudoun area last night turned himself over to authorities this afternoon. 

John H. Abel, 48, of Catlett, Va., is charged with domestic assault, brandishing a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place. 

The charges stem after an apparent domestic altercation after 9 p.m. on March 16, in the 20700 block of Easthampton Plaza in Ashburn.  The LCSO responded to the area where the subject had discharged several gunshots into the air following an altercation with a known female. He threatened to harm himself, but the gun was wrestled from his possession by the woman.

The subject then fled the area on foot. The firearm was recovered at the scene and no injuries were reported.

Abel currently remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a secured bond.

Loudoun County, VA – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate an apparent domestic altercation in the 20700 block of Easthampton Plaza in the One Loudoun area of Ashburn.  
 
The LCSO responded to the area where a subject discharged several gunshots into the air following an altercation with a known female.  He threatened to harm himself, but the gun was wrestled from his possession by the woman. The subject is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, 225 pounds, and was wearing a tan jacket, work boots and jeans. He is further described as having brown hair and blue eyes. 
 
The subject then fled the area on foot. The firearm was recovered at the scene and no injuries were reported. 
 
All indications at this point are the subject was attempting to harm himself and the LCSO is working to locate his whereabouts.

Loudoun County,Va- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the
scene of an active incident where a subject fired several gunshots into the airnear the 20700 block of Easthampton Plaza in the One Loudoun area of Ashburn.  

The subject was reportedly involved in an altercation with a
known female and discharged the firearm into the air and threatened to harmhimself before the gun was taken from his possession. The subject then fled the
area on foot. The firearm was recovered at the scene.


No injuries were reported on the scene.


Residents are encouraged to avoid the area as lawenforcement is searching the area for the subject.

available.
