LCSO Recruits Take Top Academic Spots, Awards & 
 
Hold Leadership Roles During 137th Session of NVCJTA 

  Loudoun County- 
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office welcomed sixteen new deputies at the 137th session of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy (NVCJTA).


The new deputies are: Todd Wilson, Ronald Perea, William Pfeiffer, Jordan Leverich, Jordan Ambrose, Andre Kimvilikani, Giovanni Fabrega, Joseph Gondeck, Cameron Gentry, David Legates, Sodiq Apena, Ishmael Haimerl, Shane Rafter, Brady Mullis and Andrew Moone.


During Tuesday’s graduation ceremony, Deputy Perea received the Directors Award for the Combined Basic Deputy Sheriff School for being first in his class in the session. This award is based on the highest overall academic score taken from grades achieved in the academic exams, firearms training, and driver training. Deputy Gondeck took third place in the class for this award.


Deputy Gondeck took first place in Firearms Proficiency. Deputy Pfiefer took second place and Deputy Moone took third place in the class for this award. This award is given to the students with the highest overall average of five separate daylight and reduced light qualification courses. 


Deputy Moore took second place in Emergency Vehicle Operations. This award was based on the combined training which included classroom work as well as developing and refining both low and high speed driving skills. 


Deputy Gondeck also received the top overall male Physical Fitness Award for the entire 137th session. He finished at or above the superior level in 9 out 10 of his fitness assessments.


Deputies Todd Wilson and Ron Perea also took a leadership roles in the academy by holding the positions of class President and Vice-President.


After the ceremony, Sheriff Mike Chapman congratulated the graduates and expressed his pride in their accomplishments during the session. “I was very impressed with the outstanding performance of the class and I wish the deputies all the best as they pursue their careers with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Chapman. 


The NVCJTA provides training to agencies from the Northern Virginia area including the Arlington County Police Department, Arlington County Sheriff’s Office, City of Alexandria Police Department, City of Alexandria Office of the Sheriff, City of Manassas Police Department, George Mason University Police Department, City of Fairfax, Falls Church Police Department, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Metro Transit Police Department, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, Northern Virginia Community College Police Department, Town of Leesburg Police Department and Purcellville Police Department.
