The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services announces that renovations and repairs at Ashburn Park have been extended through November 2018. The extension is due to the impact of recurring storms and heavier than usual rainfall amounts on the construction project.
The project, which includes repair and replacement of footings, decking and guardrails for two aging bridges and repair of creek wall erosion, started on August 31, 2018. Completion was originally anticipated by the end of October. To ensure the safety of patrons and allow access for construction equipment, the entire park, including playgrounds, will remain closed to the public.
