Loudoun County, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is advising residents who purchased gas at the Exxon on Flagstaff Plaza in Ashburn to monitor their credit cards after two skimming devices were located on two gas pumps.
The two devices were located late Sunday afternoon on pump number three and number 16. It is unclear when the potential electronic access devices, commonly referred to as a skimming device, were installed. Detectives with the LCSO Financial Crimes Unit are working to identify who installed the devices.

The Federal Trade Commission advises residents that if your credit card has been compromised, report it to your bank or card issuer. Federal law limits your liability if your credit, ATM, or debit card is lost or stolen, but your liability may depend on how quickly you report the loss or theft.
