The Clerk of the Circuit Court Gary M. Clemens and his Historic Records Manager Eric Larson recently attended the Loudoun County Public Schools' Career and Apprentice Fair at The Academies of Loudoun.   Participating corporations, firms, government agencies and business owners representing a wide array of professions providing information to Loudoun County High School students about career opportunities, internship opportunities and apprenticeship opportunities.  Mr. Clemens and Mr. Larson provided information regarding careers in government, the legal field, courts, museums, records management and records preservation/conservation.  "Loudoun has extensive valuable historic artifacts and records, many of which are located in the Clerk's Office for students to see," stated Eric Larson who has led the Clerk's historic records preservation efforts for the past 5 years.  Students and citizens can come see the value of history and historic court records on May 3 as the Circuit Court Clerk is hosting an exhibition of documents featuring signatures of famous Virginians, including the original Last Will and Testament of President George Washington.   The event will be held in the historic Old Courthouse in downtown Leesburg from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.


Clerk Clemens applauds the representatives who organized the Career and Apprenticeship Fair as hundreds of students and parents availed themselves of the opportunity to come learn about internships and careers.   Clemens also commends the individuals representing firms, companies and government agencies who took time in the evening to participate and share information with the students and parents.   "The business community in Loudoun County is a wonderful partner with our schools and creating learning opportunities for our young people who are the future leaders of Loudoun County," stated Clemens.
