The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed Friday, May 17, 2019, as Bike to Work Day in the county. Registration is not required for the free event, but if you register by May 10, you’ll have a free T-shirt waiting for you at one of our Loudoun County pit stops and you’ll have the chance to win a bicycle and other prizes!

The Loudoun County pit stops are adjacent to the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail in:

  • Leesburg at Raflo Park on Harrison Street, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; and
  • Sterling, just east of Route 28, at Ruritan Road behind Northrop Grumman, from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Bike to Work Day is coordinated regionally by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and Commuter Connections and is held rain or shine. The event attracts thousands of cyclists in the region. The number of local participants has grown to more than 500. The local festivities are planned by Loudoun County Commuter Services.

For more information, email Judy Galen, Loudoun County Commuter Services, or call 703-737-8044.
