[ARCHIVED] Free Documentary Film Screening August 16

 A free screening of "Gen Silent,” the critically-acclaimed documentary from filmmaker Stu Maddux, will be held Friday, August 13, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging in Leesburg. Aging in the health care system can present overwhelming challenges to many seniors. "Gen Silent" follows the lives of six LGBT seniors who must decide about hiding their sexuality to survive in the health care system. This 2010 compelling documentary captures their surprising decisions by chronicling their day-to-day lives over the course of a year. 

Admission to the screening is free, including snacks and popcorn. Those interested in attending the screening are asked to call 703-771-5407 or email aaasupport@loudoun.gov prior to the event. The Loudoun County Agency on Aging is located at 742 Miller Drive, SE, in Leesburg.
