[ARCHIVED] Family Volunteer Opportunity

Delivering meals to homebound seniors can help students earn community service hours while distance learning and can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable Loudoun residents. Parents and school-age children can give under two hours of their time weekly or monthly to support the Home Delivered Meals Program (HDM) administered by the Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging. Volunteers deliver nutritious, noontime meals to individuals confined to their home. Drivers are needed weekdays in Ashburn, Leesburg Purcellville and Sterling.

HDM volunteers use their personal vehicle to deliver the meals along a specified route. Interested volunteers should email angela.lambert@loudoun.gov or call 703-771-5984. More information about the program can be found at loudoun.gov/adultvolunteers.
