Become an Extension Master Food Volunteer!
You will be provided with extensive training during four days in the spring of 2020. Topics include - food safety, basic nutrition, meal planning, cooking techniques, physical activity and much more!
Loudoun County Extension is joining Fairfax County Extension for this training, held in the Fairfax Extension Office, over four Fridays: March 13, March 20, March 27 and April 3. Each day is 9: 00 a.m. - approximately 4:00 p;m.
After the training, activities may include:
- Teaching cooking skills, basic nutrition and physical activity in the Loudoun County Public School System
- Teaching cooking techniques to adult audiences
- Presenting food demonstrations at farmers markets
- Working with community partners to deliver cooking and nutrition education

Applications are due by January 31, 2020.
There is a $110 fee for materials. A background screening is also required for admittance to the class and volunteering opportunities thereafter.
