Loudoun County Transit is temporarily moving Metro Connection Bus Routes 901 and 902 from the West Falls Church Metrorail Station to the Ballston Metrorail Station beginning Monday, February 24, 2020.

Preparations for Metrorail’s Platform Improvement Project at the West Falls Church Metrorail Station are underway, which include the closure of the regular bus stop used to provide service for bus routes 901 and 902.

Riders of bus routes 901 and 902 will continue to ride the Metro Connection bus to and from designated bus stops in Loudoun County at Broad Run Farms, Cascades, Lowes Island and Our Lady of Hope. However, the bus will no longer make a stop at the West Falls Church Metrorail Station, where riders typically connect with the Metrorail train. Service will be provided to and from bus stops near the Ballston Metrorail Station.

Regular service at the West Falls Church Metrorail Station will resume when the platform project is completed. The completion date is currently estimated to be September 7, 2020, but is subject to change.

Temporary schedules for Metro Connection Bus Routes 901 and 902, and maps providing the new locations of the morning and afternoon service bus stops at Ballston Metrorail Station are provided at loudoun.gov/buschanges.

Loudoun County Transit officials encourage commuters to stay informed about updates and changes to bus service by signing up for Bus Biz at loudoun.gov/BusBiz. Commuters can also sign up for local traffic alerts through Alert Loudoun at loudoun.gov/alert.
