Loudoun County, VA (May 16, 2020) – Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a Thursday afternoon robbery involving vape pods in the Lansdowne community.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Kipheart Drive and Riverside Parkway around 2:45 p.m. on May 14 after a resident saw three teenagers in an altercation in his backyard. Deputies learned from one of the subjects involved in the altercation that he had arranged a meeting with the other two subjects to sell the vape pods. The suspects took the vape pods without paying for them. At that time a confrontation ensued and one of the suspects brandished what was later determined to be a replica bb gun.
The bb gun and other items associated with the incident were later located discarded in the area.
Both teenagers, whose names cannot be released because they are juveniles, are charged with robbery in the case. The juvenile who displayed the firearm is also charged with brandishing a firearm.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance during the course of the investigation.
