Loudoun County, VA (June 12, 2020)- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center (ADC) received 100% compliance after a four-day audit of the Virginia Board of Corrections’ Compliance Standards for local correctional facilities.
The ADC and its employees achieved 100% compliance this week following the completion of this intensive audit. The audit reviewed documentation from the last three years of operation and ensured compliance with 128 strict compliance standards, including 43 Life, Health and Safety standards, necessary for certification.
“We continue to achieve the highest standards at the Adult Detention Center and our staff should be commended for their efforts for receiving 100% compliance,” said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman. Since the LCSO opened the state-of-the-art adult detention center in 2007, the LCSO has continued to receive 100% compliance through the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The audit was conducted by the Department of Corrections Compliance and Accreditation Unit.
The Adult Detention Center includes LCSO administrative offices and the Loudoun County Magistrate’s Office within the facility.
The Adult Detention Center uses both the direct and podular remote methods of inmate supervision.
