UPDATE:
Loudoun County, VA (August 19, 2020) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has confirmed that a missing Round Hill woman is safe after she left the area on her own accord back in July.
Detectives determined Barbara J. Peters, 40, willingly traveled to Chicago, Illinois on July 27. The LCSO worked with other law enforcement authorities and have determined she is safe.
Peters was reported missing by her family after she was last seen in Loudoun County on July 24.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance.

Loudoun County, VA (August 1, 2020)- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) continues to seek information regarding the whereabouts of Round Hill resident Barbara J. Peters. Detectives have learned Ms. Peters may have traveled to Chicago after leaving the Maryland area on July 27.
Peters, age 40, was last seen by family in Loudoun County on July 24 and she was seen in Maryland on July 26. Detectives continue to work closely with her family members and there is concern for her well-being due to mental and/or physical health concerns.

Loudoun County, VA (July 28, 2020) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance to help locate a Round Hill woman (photo below).
Barbara J. Peters, 40, was last seen by family in Loudoun County on July 24 and is known to have traveled to Oxon Hill, MD on July 26.
She was last seen wearing a gold raincoat and is believed to be driving a 2012 silver Honda Odyssey minivan with Virginia tag: WRK 3031. The LCSO is concerned for her well-being due to mental and/or physical health concerns.
