In accordance with Forward Virginia Phase Three Guidelines, the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) has announced plans to expand senior center programs and reopen adult day centers.

Senior centers began offering limited outdoor programming for current members Monday, Sept. 21. Activities may include fitness, music, martial arts, dance and arts and crafts projects. Hours are variable and programs may be impacted by weather. Members should call the nearest center for class options and schedules. The reservation-based, weekday congregate and drive-up meal program for members is ongoing.

Adult day centers will reopen Monday, Sept. 28, to serve existing clients. No visitors will be allowed. Hours will be reduced from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and programmed as two separate, 3.5-hour sessions to ensure adequate staff-to-client ratios and adherence to social distancing and other safety guidelines in place to reduce the spread of disease. Families are encouraged to call the centers for more details.

Details on Phase Three reopening plans can be found at loudoun.gov/prcsoperatingstatus. For more information, email prcs@loudoun.gov.
