The public is invited to attend the 2013 Step Up Loudoun Competition on Thursday, March 7, at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at the headquarters of the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (NRUCFC) located at 20701 Cooperative Way, Dulles, VA 20166.
The goal of the annual Step Up competition is to provide middle and high school students the opportunity to make positive changes in their own lives and the lives of others. Teens were challenged by the Step Up Loudoun committee last fall to create and implement a solution to an issue facing Loudoun youth.
On March 7, competing students will exhibit displays about their issue and solution implementation. Judges will award $1,000 to the winning individual or team. For more information, call 703-737-8335.
