Loudoun County is now offering walk-in service at the COVID-19 vaccination clinic, located at Dulles Town Center, 21090 Dulles Town Circle in Sterling. Vaccinations are available on a first-come, first-served basis during the COVID-19 vaccination clinic’s scheduled hours of operation; no appointment is necessary.

The clinic is open on the following schedule:

  • Tuesdays: 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Fridays: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Appointments for COVID-19 vaccine are also still available. Appointments can be scheduled anytime online

Vaccination Eligibility

The following groups are currently eligible for COVID-19 vaccine:

  • First and Second Doses: People ages 5 and older who have not yet received their first and/or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Boosters
    • People ages 18 and older who received the second in a two-dose series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least five months ago or who received the J&J vaccine at least two months ago.
      • Mix and Match’ Boosters: Any of the three approved vaccines may be used as a booster, regardless of the product used in the initial vaccine series. For example, if someone’s primary series was Pfizer or Moderna, they are eligible for Moderna, Pfizer or J&J vaccine as a booster after five months. Someone who received the one-dose J&J vaccine could receive any vaccine as a booster after two months.
    • Children 12 and older who received their second in a two-dose series of Pfizer vaccine at least five months ago.

Where to Get a COVID-19 Vaccine

Vaccinations are free of charge for everyone regardless of immigration or health insurance status. Residents may receive a COVID-19 vaccine in one of the following ways:

  • Walk in to the county’s vaccination clinic at Dulles Town Center:  Anyone age 5 and older may walk in without an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine during the clinic’s scheduled hours. Please note that anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Make an appointment at the county’s vaccination clinic at Dulles Town Center: Visit the county’s website at loudoun.gov/covid19vaccine to schedule your vaccination appointment. Anyone who does not have access to the internet may call the COVID-19 Information Line at 703-737-8300 to schedule an appointment.
  • Find vaccine online from another provider in the community: Many providers in the community, such as local pharmacies, also offer COVID-19 vaccine. Find vaccine near you by visiting vaccines.gov.

Know When You’re Eligible for a Booster Dose

With the CDC guidance calling for booster doses to be administered at least five months after the second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine and two months after the J&J vaccine, it’s important that people know when they completed their initial series so that they can appropriately time a booster.

You can find the date you completed the initial series on your vaccination card. If you received that dose in Virginia and have misplaced the card, you can find the date by searching for your vaccine record online. If you need assistance over the phone, call 866-375-9795. Assistance is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Virginia Department of Health has added a scannable QR code to vaccination records. The technology allows anyone vaccinated in Virginia to show proof of vaccination with a digital or printed QR code instead of a paper card. If you have moved to Loudoun from another state since receiving your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or dose of J&J, you should check with the health department for your previous jurisdiction for your vaccination record.
