Buta Biberaj, Loudoun County’s Commonwealth’s Attorney, is pleased to announce that the Office will hold Cohort II of our Justice Academy, September 15, 2022 - October 27, 2022, weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
The mission of the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Justice Academy is to create a partnership with the community through education and collaboration. The Justice Academy offers Loudoun County residents the opportunity to learn about the Justice System and the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office’s mission of Protection, Prevention, and Prosecution.
The participants should expect the following experiences:
- Citizens will have an opportunity to learn about the law and processes related to arrests, criminal charges, and prosecution.
- The Commonwealth Attorney will discuss the Office’s operations, the statutory mandates for the office and the intersect between law enforcement and the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
- Citizens and the Commonwealth Attorney will have an opportunity to discuss matters related to safety and justice.
Eligibility
Membership in the Justice Academy is open to 20 qualifying applicants. To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must be:
- Over the age of twenty-one years.
- Free of any active criminal or traffic charges.
- Agree to a criminal background check.
- Agree and sign a Waiver and Release.
- Able to and agree to attend in-person all sessions of the program; and
- A resident of Loudoun County.

The Office of the Commonwealth Attorney’s Justice Academy is offered free of charge to attendees.
