[ARCHIVED] “Feline Navidad” Takes Place at Loudoun Animal Shelter through December 21

Image of letter

The shelter cats at Loudoun County Animal Services have written Santa Paws a letter asking for just one holiday gift this year – forever homes with families to love! Those who want to help Santa Paws grant this wish can visit the shelter December 6 through 21, 2014, during the “Feline Navidad” adoption event. During this promotion, the cost to adopt kittens under 6 months of age is $75, cats 7 months to 6 years of age are $25 and wise whisker cats (7 years of age and over) have no adoption fee. Small animals, excluding large birds, also have no adoption fee.

Individuals who are interested in adopting a cat or small animal can visit the shelter at 39820 Charles Town Pike in Waterford on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12 to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays from 12 to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. Photos of adoptable pets and directions to the animal shelter can be found at www.loudoun.gov/animals.

Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) operates the Loudoun County Animal Shelter, which provides for companion animals that have been surrendered by their owners or found stray in the county. The Animal Shelter also offers pets for adoption. The Animal Control Division enforces local and state animal laws and investigates reports of animal cruelty and vicious or destructive animals. LCAS also maintains a lost and found animal file, issues dog licenses and assists citizens with a variety of animal issues.

For more information, contact LCAS at 703-777-0406 or animals@loudoun.gov. Visit the shelter online at www.loudoun.gov/animals or www.facebook.com/loudounanimals.
