[ARCHIVED] Free Workshop: Living Well with Chronic Disease

The Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging is offering a free, six-week workshop on living with chronic disease beginning Friday, March 17, 2017. The “Live Well! With Chronic Conditions” series was developed by Stanford University for those affected by, or caring for someone with, chronic disease. Chronic conditions may include depression, diabetes, dementia, heart disease, chronic pain, arthritis, migraines, COPD, Lyme disease and others. Attendees will learn practical skills and gain confidence and motivation. 

Covered topics include nutrition and physical activity, dealing with difficult emotions, communication, getting better sleep and understanding medication.

The workshop will be held Fridays (March 17 - April 21) from 10 a.m. until 12: 30 p.m. at 20145 Ashbrook Place, Suite 170, Ashburn, VA 20147. Healthy snacks and course materials will be provided.
