The Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI) and the architecture firm of Grimm Parker will host an informational meeting regarding the conceptual design of the Ashburn Senior Center at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Steuart W. Weller Elementary, 20700 Marblehead Drive in Ashburn.

The approximately 15-thousand-square-foot Ashburn Senior Center will be built on a five-acre proffered site in the Ashburn area. The site was dedicated to the county by the developer of the Regency at Ashburn. The center will be operated by the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services.

The Ashburn Senior Center will provide administrative and program space for staff and volunteers at the center, as well as a small gymnasium with two pickle ball courts, large multi-purpose room with an adjoining commercial kitchen, exercise/fitness room, classrooms, a game room, computer lab, arts and craft room, restrooms and storage areas.

For more information about the project, contact Loudoun County Design Manager Peter Hargreaves of DTCI by email.

Status reports on the Ashburn Senior Center and Loudoun County’s many other capital projects are available at www.loudoun.gov/underconstruction.
