Students from Loudoun County and Fairfax County high schools will stage the second annual Teen Improv Comedy & Theatre Festival on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Franklin Park Arts Center. The festival, which showcases individual school acts and a mixed showcase of performers, is sponsored by the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services.
This unique collaboration provides teems an opportunity to work with local and regional professional actors in preparation for a live improvisational performance. The actors engage the students in exercises designed to address individual and group strengths and weaknesses, and help the teens grow as artists.
Performances on April 7 include an early show from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. featuring Briar Woods High School’s "Those Guys," Loudoun Valley High School’s" Comedy Cult," Dominion High School’s "Blank Slate" and McLean Community Center’s "Unruly Theatre Project." The late show, from 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., features Broad Run High School’s "BRHS Improv," Loudoun County High School’s "Improvasaurus" and Potomac Falls High School’s "SOFA."
