A special election to fill the vacant seat in the 86th House of Delegates District will be held in Loudoun County Tuesday, February 19, 2019. This election is open only to registered voters in the 86th House of Delegates District, which in Loudoun County includes precincts 701-Sully and 705-Forest Grove. No other Loudoun voters are eligible to vote in this election.
The deadline to register to vote for the February 19 election is Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. for those registering in person and 11:59 p.m. for those registering online. Voter registration forms sent by mail must be postmarked no later than February 12, 2019.
Once ballots are available, absentee voting for the special election will take place at the Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive, SE, Suite C in Leesburg. The start date of absentee voting will be posted on the Loudoun County website.
The last day for voters to apply online, by fax or by mail to request that an absentee ballot be mailed to them is Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. The last day to vote an absentee ballot in person is Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. The Office of Elections and Voter Registration will be open Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for absentee voting.
