The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors begins its review of the draft Loudoun 2040 Comprehensive Plan, Wednesday, April 3, 2019, with the first of several meetings, which will include work sessions and public hearings.
Due to concerns about access to the Loudoun County Government Center during the Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival, the Board’s Saturday, April 27, 2019, public hearing will be held at the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Administration Building, 21000 Education Court in Ashburn. The annual flower and garden show, scheduled for April 27 and 28, 2019, typically draws a large crowd to downtown Leesburg. In addition to road closures associated with the event, the Loudoun County Government Center parking garage will be heavily utilized during the festival for parking. Moving the Saturday public hearing to the LCPS building in Ashburn will ensure that there will be no traffic or parking barriers to those members of the community who wish to attend the public hearing.
All of the Board’s Loudoun 2040 work sessions will be held at the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, SE in Leesburg as well as the Wednesday, April 24, public hearing.

The draft Loudoun 2040 Comprehensive Plan includes the county’s General Plan and Countywide Transportation Plan. Once adopted, it will serve as the county government’s guide for land use and transportation policy.
