Loudoun County has again received national recognition for organizational excellence in public procurement. The Loudoun County Division of Procurement has earned the 2019 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute.
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award is given annually to organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.
Loudoun County is one of only eight government agencies in Virginia and one of only 42 counties in the United States and Canada to receive the award this year. Loudoun has been a recipient of the award for 21 consecutive years.
The Loudoun County Division of Procurement is responsible for the acquisition of all goods and services, including professional services and construction, for Loudoun County government operations.
