[ARCHIVED] Teen Performers Needed for Loudoun's Battle of Bands

Over $900 in prizes will be awarded to the top three winners of Loudoun’s Battle of the Bands. The annual competition is open to the county’s middle and high school students, including soloists, ensembles, bands and DJ/Electronic Music artists. Performers interested in competing should apply online at www.loudoun.gov/teens by Oct. 31, 2019.

There is no entry fee. Competition organizers randomly select lineups and assign competition dates, which will be announced at the Battle of the Bands Kickoff event Nov. 7, 2019, at the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS), 742 Miller Drive SE, Leesburg, Virginia, 20175.

Preliminary battles will be held Dec. 6, 2019, Jan. 24, 2020, and Feb. 28, 2020, at Cascades Overlook Event Center, 21453 Epicerie Plaza, Sterling, Virginia, 20164. Winners from the preliminary round will compete in the final battle March 27, 2020, at the Tally Ho, 19 W. Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia, 20175.

The Loudoun Youth Advisory Council (YAC), comprised of representatives from local high schools, organizes the competition, which is presented by YAC, PRCS and Loudoun Youth, Inc. For more information, email yac@loudoun.gov or call 703-737-8335.
