Loudoun County has created a Residential Traffic Management Guide, providing information about county programs to address community concerns relating to vehicular speed and safety on publicly-maintained roadways in residential areas.
At loudoun.gov/TrafficManagement, residents and community organizations can access the full Residential Traffic Management Guide (PDF) and/or download brochures that summarize the two programs:
“Our goal is to support the Board of Supervisors’ priorities that include protecting and enhancing community health and safety through the improvement of the county’s transportation networks,” said Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure Director Joe Kroboth. “The Residential Traffic Management Guide provides residents with information about the inclusive processes the county follows to improve quality of life on public streets in their neighborhoods.”
For each program, the county applies a step-by-step process as outlined in the Residential Traffic Management Guide, which complies with Virginia Department of Transportation guidance and requirements. Each process includes problem recognition, identification of potential improvements and inclusive participation with residents and partner agencies.
