[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Suspect Identified in Series of Commercial Burglaries in Ashburn

Loudoun County, VA (September 10, 2020) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office with assistance through tips from the community has identified the suspect involved in a series of commercial burglaries in the Ashburn area.

The suspect, who has been identified as a juvenile, is facing multiple juvenile petitions in the burglary series which will be obtained in coordination with Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services. The name of the juvenile cannot be released due to the fact he is a minor.   

The investigation determined commercial burglaries on August 10 and August 30 at businesses in Junction Plaza, the Broadlands Village Center, and on Truro Parish Drive were all connected.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance.  

   

ORIGINAL RELEASE 

Loudoun County, VA (August 31, 2020) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect in a series of commercial burglaries in the Ashburn area.

The suspect entered businesses in Junction Plaza, the Broadlands Village Center, and on Truro Parish Drive during the overnight hours of Sunday, August 30. The suspect forced entry into multiple closed businesses and in some locations he removed cash from the cash registers.

The suspect is described as a white male with dyed blonde hair, and was wearing a green t-shirt and carrying a black backpack during the burglaries.

The burglaries are possibly related to two other burglaries that occurred on August 10 in Junction Plaza.
