The Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) offers education and support to help ease the burden and stress that can result from providing care for a loved one. The fall series begins Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. with "Legal Planning" presented by Rory Clark, Esq., of The Legacy Elder Law Center.

In recognition of the added stress caregivers can experience during the holiday season, AAA staff will present a message of hope with "Coping Through the Tinsel and Tears"" Thursday, November 19, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can learn strategies on how to cope through the holiday season, especially when dealing with grief and loss, as well as the impact the pandemic is having on how holiday traditions will be celebrated.

The final fall session, "Quick Start to the Loudoun County Area on Aging," takes place Thursday, December 3, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. AAA staff will present an overview of the programs and services available to older adults and family caregivers in Loudoun.

To sign up for these free, virtual sessions, email aaasupport@loudoun.gov. To learn more about AAA programs and community resources, call 703-777-0257 to speak with an aging programs specialist. The Area Agency on Aging is a division of the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services.
